Natural teeth are vital to the preservation of residual alveolar ridge. Conservative and preventive principles of prosthodontics are practiced when natural teeth are retained rather than extracted. The use of overdenture is an exemplary example of such principles. Overdenture with copings is not routinely prescribed. We present a case of an elderly male patient who presented with missing teeth. A tooth supported overdenture that involved both coping and non coping designs was fabricated.
