This paper investigates how digital color grading and visual effects compositing function as semiotic systems that shape emotional engagement and cultural interpretation in visual storytelling. By examining how audiences respond to color as both an affective signal and a culturally coded sign, the study demonstrates that color choices in post-production influence narrative meaning far beyond aesthetic enhancement.
