The Ministry of Public Health in Cameroon (2017) defines perinatal death as the birth of a lifeless fetus weighing at least 1000 g or after 28 weeks of amenorrhea or a size greater than or equal to 35 cm, as well as death of any newborn that occurs from birth to the first seven (7) days of life. This loss is of great importance to parents and those around them. Perinatal bereavement is then the process following a perinatal death. In fact, the bereavement following a perinatal loss is difficult for parents. We imagine that the emotion engendered by this type of loss is much less than for a bigger child, but the intense grief caused by this one does not depend neither on the duration of the pregnancy, nor on the age of the child. The child, but the intensity of the bond forged and its investment. This bereavement is often overlooked in its complexity and its impact on the individual and the couple. This article aims to read the experiences of Bulu couples in the aftermath of perinatal mourning.
